At Schuil, we often like to say that better coffee should create a positive feeling that influences YOU every minute or every day.
When you wake up, take a sip of coffee, and feel as if you could conquer the world - it shows. The beauty of life is that exact moment when you feel that all you can do is take a step forward. That's what it's about.
But sometimes, "moving forward" is easier said than done.
What if you're worn out, tired, or even stressed? What if life has taken a toll, and you haven't had time to figure yourself out? What if it's hard to get to that forward moving stage? How do you get back to that point?
Sometimes it gets difficult, but that's why we all need a little help.
Here are some things that we've found that help our customers be at their best.
It may seem impossible at times -- for example, how do I consistently maintain positive influence during a tough time (like 2020)? It's difficult, but life is difficult. And you have to admit, positive vibes feel great.
They outshine negative vibes constantly. It's easy to get in a funk, and having the blues. However, the more you feel at your best, the better you'll perform in every aspect of your life.
Also, when you see positive vibes reflected back to you, the world becomes a better place!
Even something as simple as smiling at someone, or waving, can make you feel great. To reference optimist, Simon Sinek, your brain releases oxytocin every time you make a decision to do something of love - and that makes you feel good.
So many times, we're all so eager to let everyone know what we're thinking because we believe it's the best thought/solution. Well, all so often it's not.
What we can learn more than ever, especially now-a-days, is that listening first leads to a collaborative effort in attempt to move forward. It shows your audience that you're open to options, which closely relates with showing empathy - a major leadership trait.
Listening first allows you to understand, comprehend, and divide and conquer for the best solution vs. your first solution.
We believe in 80/20 (i.e. to identify an entity's (you) best assets (personalities) and use them efficiently to create maximum value.) Look in the mirror and remind yourself that you are capable, you are important, and that you are the best you when you're most happy.
Focus on the qualities that lead you to your best life. Maybe it's your humor, your love for those around you, your amazing ability to stay organized and well maintained in life, or your strength and perseverance.
Even if I don't feel at my best, I notice that if I slow down and continually remind myself of my positive qualities, I tend to feel more relaxed, resulting in a better me.
The best part about the morning is coffee, and we truly believe that it can set your tone for the day.
Sometimes we're all in a rush to get out the door to get the kids to school in time - or - get to work because we have that meeting... Take a deep breath, grab your Schuil Coffee, and know that it's going to be a great day.
