It’s no secret that we’re excited for our drinkers to explore our expansive collection of expertly flavored coffees, here at Schuil. But, we have a just as diverse and tantalizing spread of non-flavored coffees to make your mornings better, too. Our coffee buying team sources specialty coffee from across the world, from Latin America, to Africa and Indonesia. Some are perennial classics our customers have come to look for year after year, and some are seasonal stunners. Between the array of origins, blends, and roast levels we offer, we’re able to provide you with nearly endless flavor possibilities, no matter your preferences.
We're always excited to share upcoming blogs, promotions, updates, etc. We'd love for you to join the Schuil Community to stay up-to-date. It's super easy to join, simply add your email below!
Though it’s hard to choose just 5, here are some of our current favorite non-flavored coffees at Schuil.
Burundi IWCA (Light Roast)
As do many of Burundi’s best coffees, our offering harmoniously fuses savory sweetness, plump red fruit flavor, and citrusy liveliness to make for an unforgettable cup. This coffee is imported by the woman-owned JNP Coffee, who supports and sources coffee from primarily women coffee growers in Burundi. Notes: black tea, apricot, molasses, citrus marmalade
Colombian Cauca (Light Medium Roast)
While “peace” isn’t typically found on flavor wheels or listed as one of a coffee’s tasting notes, it’s resoundingly present in our Colombian coffee offering from the country’s Cauca region. Following 50 years of conflict, the country is in the middle of a historic peace process, supported in part by its robust coffee industry. To help encourage this progress, Schuil works closely with Coffee for Peace, a coalition of coffee farmers and market allies. CFP works to ensure economic stability in historic conflict zones through coffee, by aiding farmers with business development, trade facilitation, and coffee quality improvement. Notes: orange, cocoa, balanced, brown sugar
Bali Blue Moon (Medium Roast)
Grown in volcanic soil on the lush island of Bali, this coffee’s distinct flavors will make you feel you’re on one of its tropical beaches, or high up in its verdant mountain ranges. We temper some of its naturally herbaceous flavor by taking the coffee deeper into the roast, which provides deep sweetness and a rich mouthfeel. Notes: orange, baker’s chocolate, rich, toasted nut
Daterra Bruzzi (Medium Roast)
Daterra is a renowned coffee farm in Brazil, who sustainably grow some of Brazil’s best coffees. They have incorporated the triple bottom line -- people, profit, and planet -- into their business model, always stewarding their relationships with the soil, water, wildlife, knowledge, and people. The coffee we offer from their farm is creamy and sweet, with resounding flavors of cashew and almond. Notes: creamy, nutty, soft, sweet, milk chocolate
Seattle Blend (Dark Roast)
We owe much of America’s rich coffee culture to its birthplace in the Pacific Northwest. We honor the great Emerald City with our Seattle Blend, one of our richest dark roast blends. It’s incredibly full-bodied and robust, and is perfect to enjoy on its own or with cream and sugar. Notes: dark chocolate, burnt sugar, toasted almond, smokey, rich
