Ethiopia
Ethiopia is known for producing some of the best and most unique coffee in the world, with a wide variety of flavors and aromas that are unlike any other coffee-growing region. Ethiopian coffees are typically grown at high altitudes in the country's lush, green mountains resulting in a bright, complex flavor that is often described as being fruity and floral, with notes of peach, berries, citrus, black tea, and jasmine. Ethiopian coffee is also known for its distinct wine-like acidity and a long, smooth finish. There is a long history of coffee production and cultivation in Ethiopia. Many people consider Ethiopian coffee to be the "mother of all coffee," as Ethiopia is believed to be the birthplace of the coffee plant.
