Like every season, Spring brings with it an array of culinary traditions. The grills are fired back up to char some asparagus, your morning cup of hot coffee may turn into cold brew, and fresh fruit starts to taste even fresher. As always, we encourage our drinkers to embrace our state’s seasonality and blend Spring flavors with your favorite Schuil coffees and teas. Here are some of our favorite drinks to whip up throughout these crisp and warming months!
Chocolate-Strawberry Cold Brew Milkshake
The Spring season ushers in many things we yearn for throughout the Winter months. There’s a certain fervor when fresh Michigan fruits are finally reintroduced to farmer’s market stalls, from tart rhubarb to sweet strawberries. Just as exciting is that first day that creeps above 60 degrees, when your Dairy Queen or other local gem reopens their doors. This healthy milkshake recipe incorporates both and saves you from the inevitably long line at the ice cream shop.
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 ripe banana
- 3 cups fresh strawberries
- 1 cup ice
- 2 TBSP cocoa powder
- 1 TBSP maple syrup
- 2 fl oz Schuil cold brew
Lavender Arnold Palmer
Spring flowers are pretty to look at and are also pretty dang tasty when incorporated into your favorite drinks. Here, we take the classic Arnold Palmer and freshen it up with the creamy florality of lavender. Hint: this may also be a drink at our sister company Sparrows Coffee cafe location.
Ingredients
- 6 fl oz lemonade
- 6 fl oz iced Assam tea
- 1 fl oz lavender simple syrup
Cinnamon Oat Milk Cold Brew
An always enjoyable aspect of Spring is throwing aspects of Mexican cooking into your repertoire in celebration of Mexico’s holiday of independence, Cinco de Mayo. Although a far cry from more traditional horchata, this cold brew takes influence from this warm weather favorite.
Ingredients
- 2 fl oz Schuil cold brew
- 8 fl oz oat milk (or substitute rice milk)
- 1 fl oz cinnamon simple syrup
We hope you enjoy!
